It’s a sad week as my beloved Nan has passed away. She was a wonderful lady, the best Nan, Great Nan, Mum, Sister, Aunt and friend you could possibly want. I have many many happy memories and are so pleased to have photos to look back on too.
I have chosen my 2 favourites for this blog post.
The first one was taken last year and I love the way it captures the caring nature of Great Nanny looking after Theo who was scared by some noisy boats we were watching.

And a much much older photo of the glamorous June Stickland when she was a young wife and mother.

I feel so privileged to have had such a wonderful Nan and being able to have so many photos to keep as tangible mementos is a gift.

Julie - Sorry for you loss
clive - Beautiful treasured photographs of a wonderful woman
Cousin Heidi - You’ve captured her perfectly in words and photos. Like you say, we were lucky to have her, and we’ll all miss her so much. But memories are wonderful things and we will treasure and enjoy them. All love, Hxx
Linda - What a beautiful tribute to her. I love that you included a photo of her in her younger years. Everyone seemed so glamerous back then.
pamela - just found your site from clickin moms and your photos are beautiful…but it was this post that got me. It’ll be 6 years this August since I lost my beloved grandmother and I still have moments where I almost reach for the phone…wishing I could share a funny story about my kids (whom she did not get to meet) or ask for her advice. It’s great that you have images of your son with her. Much love and peace in your time of grieving and may you find comfort in the love you shared with her and know that it lives on in you and your child.
