Well what a weekend! I am a member of a photography forum called Clickinmoms and I’ve spent many a happy hour there online chatting with other photographers from around the world. My favourite bit of the board is the European thread and this weekend I had the pleasure of meeting up with 9 of my fellow Euro photographers in Prague.
The Clickinmoms forum were encouraging people to spend a couple of hours on Saturday 8th October 2011 on a photowalk in your nearest city, a great idea but the logistics of how to do that when we are spread over a number of countries was stumping us. And then Romana Wyllie rode in on her white horse and saved the day. “Come to my house in Prague, I’ll look after you all” she said. And so we did and what an amazing time was had by all.
On Friday 8 photographers from the UK, Spain, Italy, Sweden, France and The Netherlands all turned up at Prague airport and from the moment the taxi’s dropped us off outside Mark and Romana’s house we knew we were going to have a fabulous time! Romana and her husband Mark run a successful photography business in Prague and their speciality is custom photography with a luxury slant. If you are looking for photos of your family or wedding displayed as stunning wall art that will last you for a generation, then Romana is the lady you should contact. As guests in their house we photographers got a little taste of what one of Romana’s client experiences and it was so impressive. Whether watching a projector show of all the photos from the shoot to the exacting standards they insisted upon in the quality of the photos they produce the attention to detail was inspiring and the end product stunning. This is one small business that I can see going from strength to strength.
Mark & Romana’s house our little home from home, these are all Romana’s photos on the walls

To say they spoiled us is an understatement, just look at all that food.

A photo stroll when we first arrived on the Friday

Saturday morning and time for us all to go on the official bit of the photo walk

This haunting statue was actually a grave monument

On the Saturday night we went out shooting Charles Bridge and the old town during the blue hour which is just before sunset

Shooting at dawn whilst the light was still blue, so so cold but so worth it! And no I haven’t faded all the colours except for the red coat – it was really like that! Such amazing light.

On the Sunday morning before our flight home we all took a trip up the Petrin Tower

Into the Mirror Maze, fun but freaky!

Just look at those love birds, so sweet!

Behind the scenes of the pink t-shirt box shoot

And if you are wondering what on earth was going on here this is the final result, all photo credit to our fabulous photographer hosts Romana and Mark.

I hope these photos can give you a taste of the amazing time we all had, I would like to tell you a little more about what we got upto in Prague but WHIPSIP as we Prague girls say!![]()
