How times have changed. We’ve just had a wonderful week’s holiday in the beautiful Portuguese beach resort of Praia da Luz, this was Theo’s 4th trip there and it’s like a home from home to us now. As I was choosing photos from our holiday for this blog I was struck at how different our holidays are now to the one’s I took before we had Theo.
In those pre-2007-no-child days I managed to fit in a lot of travelling and were lucky enough to have some great holidays. I’ve worked and travelled around New Zealand, cruised down the Nile, walked Levadas in Maderia, visited Venice, Barcelona, Granada, Amsterdam, Rome, Verona, San Francisco, pretty much all of Tuscany & Umbria, took a 3 day walk across Tsitsikamma National Park in South Africa and then drove our car across the Little Karoo before going on Safari, went wine tasting in the Napa Valley, visited 3 different Greek Islands, wallowed in the Dalaman mud baths and seen plenty more sights and sites in the UK and Europe.
And now since 2007 we’ve spent pretty much every year visiting the same resort in Portugal just relaxing whilst Theo plays on the beach or swims in the pool. And life couldn’t be better.
I took a lot of photos so I plan to spread my favourites over a few blog posts, please pop back in a few days to see the latest photos.
