Emotive

I am in the middle of a run of Clickin Mom’s online photography workshops at the moment.  I’m shooting loads, learning an amazing amount, making some great friends and are having a fabulous time.  Finding time to blog is proving tricky though, so apologies for posting a lot less recently.

I will write more about these workshops once we reach autumn and my life gets slightly less frantic so just for now I’ll leave you with some recent photos I took of Theo during the Mastering Natural Light Indoors workshop.  Taken in the smallest space you can imagine right at the end of Theo’s bed with just a little gentle light falling down from the window above this is somewhere I’d never have imagined shooting in before this workshop.

Over the last few month’s I have started photographing Theo in a different way and I am loving the way I am capturing his personality more.  Now rather than say “stand here and smile for the camera” I will guide Theo into the place where the light is best and then I will just let him relax and we’ll chat whilst I take my photos.  I want my photos to be full of emotion, rather than cheesy smiles, as isn’t that what life is really all about?
